Discover Annapolis Royal and western Nova Scotia from the Bailey House, a small Georgian inn built around 1817 beside the Annapolis Basin. The house stands on lands connected to the early settlement of Port-Royal and retains most of its historic architectural character.

The Bailey House has just four individually furnished guest rooms, each with a queen bed and private ensuite bathroom with shower. Genuine antiques remain part of everyday life, while modern comforts have been introduced quietly and with respect for the character of the Georgian house. Two rooms overlook the water, and guests have access to a private waterfront garden across the quiet street.

Breakfast is included and served around 8:30 in the old dining room, with good coffee, fresh fruit, breads and preserves, together with a changing selection of local and seasonal dishes.

Annapolis Royal’s historic sites, galleries, gardens, independent shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Farther afield, guests can explore the Bay of Fundy coast, Acadian communities, wineries, hiking trails and whale-watching harbours.
