Overview
Smith Rock Lodge & Chalets is an award-winning mountaintop retreat in the Northumberland Shores region that offers a spectacular panoramic view of Pictou County. We are a short drive from beautiful beaches, local restaurants, a brewery and winery, and golf, and just minutes away from the historic Pictou waterfront.
Our Canada Select 4-star property is open year-round, and offers guests approximately 25 kilometres of trails for hiking, biking and snowmobiling on-site along with access to a shared hot tub, heated outdoor pool and, our newest addition, a sauna and fitness area. We also have a large variety of outdoor sports and games available.
Our accommodations include 7 one-bedroom chalets, 2 two-bedroom chalets, and 1 three-bedroom chalet. The chalets have a cozy rustic charm, featuring fully equipped kitchens, wood stoves and barbecues. Three chalets are wheelchair accessible/wheelchair friendly. Certain chalets are also pet friendly.
We also have our 12 deluxe Retreat rooms, each featuring queen beds, double pull-out sofas, a kitchenette and air conditioning. We have two units that are wheelchair accessible. Playpens and cots are also available.
All chalets and retreat rooms are smoke-free.
At Smith Rock Lodge & Chalets we specialize in weddings, receptions, and conferences, offering many different options to best suit your needs. Relax with us in the main lodge, by the fireplace with a refreshing beverage from our fully stocked bar or in the sunroom curled up with a good book.
We are 90 minutes from the Halifax International Airport, 2 hours from Moncton and just 20 minutes from the PEI ferry.
