Visit Shelby Ranch, a horse ranch and farm in Scotsburn, Nova Scotia for a day of fun for the whole family. We love welcoming beginner and intermediate riders to our 48 acre property in beautiful Pictou County where you can escape into our wooded trails on a guided horseback trail ride.

Kids of all ages love ponies and Shelby Ranch is the perfect place to introduce your little one to one of our four-legged equine friend. The goal in having children ride our gentle ponies is a safe introduction to horses with our friendly staff ensures a safe and enjoyable ride.

Discover our newest attraction – our petting corral where you can get up close and personal with our adorable and friendly farm animals! Perfect for animal lovers of all ages, our petting corral offers a fun and educational experience that the whole family will enjoy. Our petting corral offers an educational opportunity for children and adults alike to learn about different animals and their behaviours. Our knowledgeable staff is always available to answer questions and to provide interesting facts about our animals.

Let the kids run loose in our Indoor Playground where they can climb and moon walk and explore the slides and tunnels!

After a fun-filled day at Shelby Ranch, visit our on-site food truck offering popular carnival foods from slushies to and lemonade to hot dogs, hamburgers, fries and more.

• Horseback riding: Prices starting at $57.50 + HST per person. Please visit the website for information on private and group bookings.
• Pony rides: $25 + HST per person
• Petting Corral and Indoor Playground: $8 + HST per person
• Axe throwing: $15 + HST per person (ages 12+)
• Sleigh rides: Pricing depends on time of day and number of people in your group. Please contact Shelby Ranch to book.
