Taking place every summer at the Cambridge Battery – a 12-15 minute walk from the Tower Road parking lot at Point Pleasant Park.
Golf carts are available to book free of charge for those who need assistance getting to the Battery; to book, call 902-422-0295.

Overview

2025 marks Shakespeare by the Sea in Halifax’s 32nd season and will be featuring:

« Robin Hood: the Legendary Musical Comedy » from July 5 to August 30, 2025
Shakespeare’s « As You Like It: The Walkabout Experience » from July 26 to August 29, 2025

AND the theatrical event of the year – a special, one night only performance of the « Unrehearsed Romeo & Juliet » to end out the season on August 31, 2025!

Come enjoy the scenic views of Point Pleasant Park while experiencing live performance presented by the largest and longest-running outdoor theatre festival in Atlantic Canada.

Performances start at 7pm nightly and run Tuesday through Sunday. Admission by donation ($20 suggested).

« Sweet Seats » (reserved seats) for the productions can be reserved online in advance at ShakespearebytheSea.ca, along with Pay-What-You-Can tickets available at the door on the day of each performance.

All Shakespeare By The Sea summer productions take place at the Cambridge Battery inside Point Pleasant Park, which is a 15 minute walk along an wheelchair accessible walking path or via the company’s accessibility golf cart (please call ahead to book this service).
