Event Details
The Pictou Lobster Carnival takes place every July in Pictou, Nova Scotia and is a signature Nova Scotia tourism event that celebrates a successful lobster fishing season.
The carnival has a rich history, with the first event taking place in 1934, making this year’s event an extra special one celebrating 90 years! The carnival showcases our local lobster industry and offers a variety of activities and entertainment for all to enjoy.
Event goers will enjoy festivities such as lobster dinners, live music featuring headliner bands, carnival fair rides, children’s parade, crate run (a new favorite), lobster boat races, lobster banding competition, lobster trap hauling contest, street parade, beer garden, fireworks, 5K running race and of course, delicious lobster suppers.
The Pictou Lobster Carnival is a must-visit event for lobster enthusiasts and those looking to experience the vibrant culture of Northern Nova Scotia.
