Fire Restrictions in Nova Scotia

Burning restrictions are in place in Nova Scotia from March 15 to October 15. There is no open fire burning permitted from 8 am until 2pm. Restrictions are updated at 2pm daily on the BurnSafe map. All provincial, municipal, and private campgrounds must follow the burning restrictions. National park campgrounds burning restrictions are under the jurisdiction of Parks Canada. The fine for violating burning restrictions is $25,000.
