Beginning at Inner Oaks’ peaceful riverside garden, you’re invited to slow down, quiet your mind, and reconnect with the present moment. Relax on the covered veranda with a nourishing, thoughtfully prepared picnic dinner. As night falls, continue to nearby Deep Sky Eye Observatory for a guided stargazing experience. Blending storytelling, cosmic insight, and celestial wonder, you’ll deepen your connection to both the universe and yourself beneath some of Nova Scotia’s darkest skies, in the Acadian Skies & Mi’kmaq Lands Dark Sky Preserve.

Package Includes:

  • Guided “head to heart” experience at Inner Oaks, sharing gentle mindfulness to slow down, quiet your mind, and reconnect with the present moment.
  • Enjoy a thoughtfully prepared picnic dinner of healthy, holistic treats.
  • 2-hour guided night-sky interpretation at Deep Sky Eye Observatory to explore galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, the Moon, and surrounding planets. Your expert guide will share stories, cosmic insights, and stargazing tips.

Good to Know:

  • To ensure your comfort throughout the evening, you are encouraged to dress in layers and bring a warm blanket for dark sky viewing
  • Its recommended to bring bug repellent, a water bottle, and binoculars (if you have them)
  • Please share any food allergies and sensitivities when booking
  • Alcohol and smoking are not permitted at Deep Sky Eye Observatory
  • If skies are cloudy, guests can enjoy an engaging indoor presentation at Deep Sky Eye Observatory, return on another night, or receive a $30 refund for the stargazing portion
