Let us guide you directly from our facility at Hunter’s Mountain on the Cabot Trail, through some of the best snowmobiling trails the Cape Breton Highlands have to offer, all the way to Cape Clear. At over 1,500 feet in elevation, you will have an unparalleled view over the highlands and picturesque Margaree River and you will arrive there by snowmobile!

Our knowledgeable guide will show you the Cape Breton you’ve never seen, travelling along fantastic groomed trails, experiencing nature with rest stops for photo ops, and trailside snacks. Cape Breton Highlands is the destination for snowmobiling and you’ll enjoy Cape Breton’s fresh air and a new way to experience winter while keeping an eye out for wildlife along the way.

Tour includes:

  • An unforgettable 4+ hour adventure led by our knowledgeable, OHV operator/instructor who will guide you on new Polaris snowmobiles through the Cape Breton Highlands.
  • Basic training and safety
  • Snowmobile gear including helmets, jackets, gloves, pants, and boots to keep you cozy and warm are available (limited sizing available).
  • All trail permits and passes
  • Tasty trailside snacks and water provided along with coffee, hot chocolate or a good cuppa tea available at TNT’s base facility following the trail tour. Possible stop at the iconic Pig ‘n Whistle, a popular snowmobiling warming station and meeting spot in the Cape Breton Highlands.

Dates: December 15, 2025 – April 1, 2026

Price:

  • $565 per snowmobile and driver + HST
    • $150 + HST per passenger

Good to know:

  • Tours leave from TNT Outdoor Adventures base, 1072 Cabot Trail, Hunter’s Mountain at 9am. Please arrive at 8:40am for safety orientation and gear fitting.
  • The TNT building has an accessible washroom facility.
  • Drivers must be over the age of 19 and have a non-restricted valid driver’s license.
  • All participants are required to provide a damage deposit and sign a waiver.
  • This is an outdoor excursion adventure and cannot guarantee weather. View terms & conditions for more information.
  • Tour can accommodate up to 5 drivers and 4 passengers per departure
