Overview

Walk along the Bay of Fundy ocean floor, where just a few hours ago approximately 50-feet of water covered the coastline and marine life swam in an underwater seascape. Discover secrets left behind by the retreat of the world’s highest tides, like tide pools and seaweed covered rocks, on a 1.5-to-2-hour tour with local insights from your guide Denise of ShoreGirl Adventures.

Experience Highlights:

  • Discover beautiful Anthony Provincial Park, a hidden-gem with red sand beaches overlooking the Cobequid Bay, just 15 minutes from Burntcoat Head Park.
  • Walk on the ocean floor of the iconic Bay of Fundy, home to the world’s highest tides. Low tide happens twice daily, exposing tide pools and treasures left behind by retreating waters.
  • Hear local insights from your knowledgeable guide Denise. Get to know this unique stretch of the Bay of Fundy, the geology, history, folklore, and nearby coastal communities from a true local with deep connections to this place.

Dates: Offered daily, June 1 through October 15, subject to availability.

Price: includes taxes

  • $25 per adult
  • $20 per senior (70+) and student (under 18)

How to Book: Please email Denise at shoregirladventures@gmail.com or call 1-902-305-4584. Be sure to provide the number of tour guests in your party, your preferred tour date, and the name of the tour you’d like to book. Denise will get in touch to confirm your booking within 48-hours of your inquiry.

Good to Know:

  • Tours take place during low tide and tour start times rely on tide times. ShoreGirl Adventures will provide you with an approximate tour start time at time of booking.
  • Due to the sandy and rocky beach terrain this tour is not considered accessible and may not be suitable for those with mobility challenges. Guests will walk about 2 km during the tour.
  • ShoreGirl Adventures recommends wearing sturdy footwear that you don’t mind getting dirty as well as dressing in layers as it can be cooler on the coast than in-land. A water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, and camera are also recommended.
  • There are public washrooms available in the picnic area at Anthony Provincial Park, as well as parking on site.
  • Payment is taken via Cash or EMT and a waiver must be signed at the beginning of the tour.

Conditions & Cancellations:  ShoreGirl Adventures is a small business and email booking requests are preferred, as Denise may be guiding a tour and unable to answer you at the time of your call. 24-hours notice is appreciated if you must cancel your tour.
