Surrounded by the rolling hills and the gentle Margaree River in Cape Breton Island’s Margaree Valley, Ross’s Housekeeping Cottages is a quiet, family-run accommodations business that has been warmly welcoming guests since July 1, 1988 and offering true Cape Breton hospitality.
Located just a five minute drive off the famous Cabot Trail highway, we are located close to area highlights such as golfing at Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs in Inverness, live music and ceilidhs featuring local, national and international musicians at The Barn at the Normaway Inn, and The Dancing Goat Café & Bakery, a popular stop for breakfast, lunch and dinner where you can eat in or take away items such as hearty soups, sandwiches made with their fresh baked breads, and more!
Ross’s Housekeeping Cottages includes 5 one- and two-bedroom housekeeping units ranging from three motel units/cabins and two cottages – each with:

2025 Rates
$115-$135 per night + taxes and applicable fees, based on double occupancy
$10 per extra person
Children under 10 years old stay free

Check-in: 3:00pm unless otherwise arranged with the owner; Check-out: 10:30am.
Cancellation: 24 hours notice
No smoking or vaping permitting in our accommodations.
Pets allowed with permission and must be kept on a leash at all times while outside. We appreciate and thank you for cleaning up after your pet as well.
