Raven Haven Beachside Family Park is one of the Annapolis County’s popular day use parks and is home to the largest public sandy beach in the county! Make Raven Haven your destination for a perfect beach day where you can spend time in the refreshing freshwater at Sandy Bottom Lake, relaxing on the beach, or just enjoying the sunshine or shade between June and September, each year.
Park Amenities and Facilities include:
Swim at our large sandy beach; no lifeguards/unsupervised
Beach area is wheelchair accessible and swim area is accessible via Mobi Mat & floating chair, available onsite for free.
Canteen: Open 11am to 5pm. We accept cash & debit only. For full menu & price list, visit our Facebook page.
Washhouse: Change areas with lockers (bring your own lock), flush toilets, sinks.
Wheelchair accessible washrooms available onsite.
Onsite use of canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards (SUP) and pedal-boats with PFDs, paddles and other safety gear provided.
Many picnic options onsite in the sun, in the shade, etc. Raven Haven is a great place to have a birthday party, school reunion, staff party, etc.
Public boat launch: The boat launch is available for small craft launching between the between hours of 10:00 am – 5:30 pm as all craft must be loaded and off site at 6:00 pm each evening.
Games areas: Beach volleyball court along with plenty of space to play games. Either borrow one of ours or bring your own.
General Park rules If you are visiting Raven Haven Beachside Family Park here are a few rules to make everyone’s visit an enjoyable one:
No smoking on our beach and playing areas (only in parking lot area); cigarette butt receptacles are available.
No alcohol or drug use in park.
No campfires.
No dogs on the beach swimming beach. Dogs are allowed only in the park on a leash and in designated areas only. You must pick up after your dog. Please plan to bring your own doggie bags and dispose of in garbage receptacles on site.
No watercraft allowed in the swimming area between the white buoys and the designated swim beach. All boats (stand-up paddle boards, canoe and kayaks) can launch near the boat launch area to the east of the jetty.
