Overview
Silver Dart Lodge is located in beautiful Baddeck on Cape Breton Island and overlooks the Bras d’Or Lake. With many acres of natural surroundings, Silver Dart has hotel rooms to fit all tastes. Our lakeview property features suite accommodations in MacNeil House, hilltop chalets, as well as comfortable hotel rooms in our West, East and Main lodges.
Whether you want to sit and relax on our observation deck while taking in the beautiful scenery and gorgeous view of the Bras d’Or Lake, get active and take a hike on the walking trails, kayak or take a boat tour on the lake, or enjoy adventures on the Cabot Trail, our goal is to help you build a better Cape Breton vacation. Guests can also enjoy a leisurely stroll through the village of Baddeck where you will find a variety of unique shops, a beautiful waterfront boardwalk, yacht club, restaurants and cafes, and fantastic views of the Bras d’Or Lake. We are conveniently located within walking distance of local attractions such as the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site.
Our accommodations include 90 air-conditioned non-smoking units (King, Queen; suites with fireplace; 12 housekeeping units) with private 4-piece bathrooms, cable television, and free wireless internet. Most units have a deck overlooking the lakes. We are a non-smoking property.

McCurdy’s evening menu features fresh, local ingredients from the land and the sea. Ask about our picnic lunches that we can prepare for you to take on your travels!
