Overview

Tucked in the gentle hills and sheltered coastal inlets of the Northumberland Shore, Jost Vineyards is the largest winery in Nova Scotia. A pioneer of the Nova Scotia wine industry and located on the same 45° latitude as Bordeaux, our vineyard’s geological origins and relationship with the coastal environment define our terroir, making our grape varieties, and thus Jost Vineyards’ extraordinary wines, uniquely Nova Scotian.

Daily wine tastings provide the opportunity to discover how the hardy, reliable grape varieties that thrive in this coastal climate make wines that are versatile in style, with crisp and fruit-forward characteristics. When you visit we invite you to try a complimentary sampling of three of our featured award-winning wines. You’ll also enjoy seasonal vineyard tours, strolling the vineyard trails and browsing the broad selection of wines and wine merchandise in our boutique.

Seagrape Café at Jost Vineyards offers fine, seasonal fare in an idyllic atmosphere. While you dine, enjoy the view of the vineyard from the comfort of the stately fireside lounge or from the vine-covered patio. Seagrape’s locally inspired menu features lobster sliders, gourmet pizza, charcuterie boards and fresh-daily local fare carefully selected to complement the award-winning wines.

You’ll find live music on the patio at the winery’s monthly festivals and events. Sip and savour your way to discovering Atlantic Canada’s original wine country and the best of what the North Shore of Nova Scotia has to offer!
