Overview
Irwin Lake Chalets is nestled near the town of Truro in the small farming community of Old Barns, with rolling fields and diked farmland along the Cobequid Bay. Open year-round, Irwin lake Chalets is a perfect homebase for attending seasonal festivals or a scenic day trips to experience outdoor adventures or adrenaline-filled activities such as tidal bore rafting. We offer the perfect setting for a family vacation, a quiet weekend escape or a romantic Nova Scotia getaway.
Several museums, shopping malls, craft shops, and picturesque Victoria Park are only minutes away in the Truro and surrounding areas. The dramatic Bay of Fundy tides can be viewed from the Cobequid Trail, just minutes from the chalets.
Our accommodations include six cozy log chalets overlooking Irwin Lake:
- four, 1-bedroom loft-style cabins
- a one bedroom bungalow with king bed and large walk-in shower
- two, 2-bedroom chalets with queen beds
All units are equipped with a full kitchen, bathroom, private hot tub, woodstove, internet, TV & DVD player with an array of movies. Each chalet also has a BBQ on a covered deck. Guests are welcome to rent canoes, kayaks or walk the several kilometers of wood roads on the property.
We are a member of the Truro and Colchester Chamber of Commerce, advocate for the support of local businesses and the promotion of tourism. Visa, MasterCard, and e-transfers welcome.
Cancellation Policy: Five days notice prior to arrival date. Your deposit is credited to your stay but is non-refundable should you cancel.
