Gourmet By Nature offers wild food experiences for curious foodies, foragers and nature watchers. We explore the wild landscape of Nova Scotia, connect with nature, forage and dine in the outdoors – all in gourmet style, and in all seasons. Our licensed guide and chef, Sean, will teach you how to prepare and eat local wild foods that are sourced from the forests, lakes, streams, oceans and fields of Nova Scotia. We focus on small group experiences.
We operate from several outdoor locations along the Bay of Fundy, as well as onsite at our farm property in Port Williams, NS. Wood fired cooking is a focus, using wild edibles, foraged foods from the property and wild game. Experiences are listed on our website.
Wild Experiences: Chef Sean hosts a number of wild food workshops, foraging tours and interactive cooking demonstrations, using local, wild Nova Scotian food. We offer outdoor experiences in all seasons.
Fishing and Hunting Guide: Our fishing and hunting guide services specialize in freshwater fish (some ocean in season) and game bird hunts. A gourmet shore lunch is offered with every package.
Private Experiences with the Wild Chef: Looking for a food adventure in your own kitchen? We provide private chef experiences you can enjoy with friends in the comfort of your own home. Have a wild menu prepared just for you by the wild chef, full of local flavours!
