Celebrate Canada Day at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site

Join us at the Halifax Citadel as we celebrate Canada’s 159th birthday in grand style! Enjoy a host of activities and experience an unforgettable day in the heart of Halifax.

Explore the exhibits and historic rooms and talk with historical interpreters dressed in authentic period clothing. Experience the 78th Highlanders performing a pipe and drum concert and conducting special drills and demonstrations throughout the day. Tour the ramparts for the best views of Halifax. Enjoy a hot meal or cool treat from the Coffee Bar, licensed and offering a delicious and historically inspired menu.

Ceremony: 12pm – 2pm, includes a 21-gun salute, music and cake!
