Lake George Wildfire, Kings County Updates

(October 8, 2025, 8:00 pm) Lake George Wildfire is now being held; Evacuation Order lifted and Residents Re-entry

The Lake George wildfire is now being held. That means the fire is not likely to move as long as conditions don’t change. It’s not yet under control, it could still grow beyond the estimated 288 hectares.

Long Lake Wildfires Complex

(September 29, 2025) The Long Lake Wildfires Complex is now under control.

This means that the fire is responding well to suppression efforts and is not expected to grow, but it is still not extinguished. The Department of Natural Resources continues to work monitor for hot spots. This will be the last update until another development occurs.
