Overview
Discover the natural beauty of an ecologically rich expanse of protected islands on Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore with the 100 Islands, 100 Minutes boat tour.
Only an hour from Halifax, the Wild Islands archipelago stretches for over 100 kilometres and offers you an opportunity to immerse yourself in vast natural settings. Embark on a fast-paced boat trip and discover boreal rainforests, turquoise coves, white sand beaches, sheltered coves and windswept headlands as well as a rich diversity of wildlife. Your tour will be led by Ryan, a 7th generation Murphy with deep ties to the region, who will share hidden stories of the past, aboard the “Sea Warrior.” Jump off for a guided coastal hike to discover the 12,000-year-old landmark features left behind from the last glacial period and learn how the wild islands formed 300 million years ago.

Good to know:
- The 100 Islands, 100 Minutes Adventure Tour is designed for and best suited for 2 adults. Adding additional adults or children may require that the tour be altered. For example, a different route to limit the open water crossings and adjust the hiking portion of the tour to remain within the tour duration.
- The wind and waves of the day may affect the exact route, but sites may include: Ship Rock Island, named after a sheer rock cliff that resembles the sail of a schooner, rumoured to have been used for cannon target practice in the 19th and 20th centuries; and Borgles Island known for its double crescent white sand beach.
