(Monday, August 18, 2025) Public Notice: Campground Evacuation Due to Long Lake Fires

Issued under the direction of the Wing Commander, 14 Wing Greenwood
As a precautionary measure, and in response to the continued expansion of the Long Lake Fires – which are now less than 25 km from the campground – we are issuing a mandatory evacuation of the campground by end of day (1700hrs/5pm), Wednesday, August 20. Read full post here.

Overview

A relaxed and rustic retreat located in the heart of Nova Scotia open May to October, Lake Pleasant offers an inviting setting for your next getaway. Whether it’s a day trip, overnight or seasonal stay, you and your family will relax at this serene sanctuary.

We are a 14 Wing Greenwood-owned commodity that provides camping services to the CAF Community including NPF & DND Staff. Plus we are also open to the general public* too!

Lake Pleasant Campground offers:

  • 7 waterfront cabins (sleeps up to 6 people)
  • 1 rustic bunkie cabin (sleeps up to 4 people)
  • 2 large cabins (sleeps 6-8 people)
  • 1 CANEX cabin (sleeps 4 people); wheelchair friendly
  • 99 campsites. Campsites are two way with water and 30amp service.
    • 10 tent sites
    • 88 2-way sites with water and 30amp services

Campground amenities include:

  • Washrooms with showers and bathrooms
  • RV dump station
  • Swimming are on campground beach
  • Children’s beach
  • Propane exchange
  • Camp store
  • Boat launch
  • Bike, kayak, canoe and paddleboard rentals for guests
  • Camping gear rental

Please note: cabins and cottages do not include bedding, pillows, linens/towels and supplies. Please read through accommodation details when on our booking site in order to plan accordingly.
