Overview

Just two minutes outside the beautiful village of Baddeck, known as the beginning and the end of the world-famous Cabot Trail, you’ll find Broadwater Inn & Cottages, an ideal base for exploring Cape Breton by land and sea.

Our accommodation property includes a two-century old inn and nine cottages overlooking Baddeck Bay within the Bras d’Or Lake Biosphere and Beinn Bhreagh, the former summer estate of Alexander Graham Bell. We are located near the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site, a museum which displays many of his important inventions – which includes the telephone. Many of his inventions that were designed and created in Baddeck can be viewed in the museum as well as on a Parks Canada White Glove Tour.

All six of our guestroom suites feature pillowtop queen or king beds, satellite TV, free WiFi, mini fridges, coffee makers, and private bathrooms. Our cottages and vacation homes may have some or all of the following amenities: BBQ, private hot tub, kitchen, air conditioning, and/or waterfront location.

To ensure our guests experience the very best Cape Breton has to offer, our resident innkeeper is available and looks forward to offering tips, directions and stories.

Visa, American Express and Mastercard are accepted.
