Event Details
This October, Sherbrooke Village Museum invites you to step into the darkened streets of our living history museum for an all new ghostly experience inspired by Washington Irving’s classic gothic short story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Drawing from Irving’s timeless tale, its many adaptations, and Maritime folklore, The Shadow Returns weaves a chilling story uniquely rooted in Sherbrooke’s haunted past.
As a “Wayfarer,” you’ll don a custom-made period cloak and carry a lantern to light your way through the Village. Guided by figures in authentic attire, you’ll wander shadowed streets where history and folklore entwine. Does the Horseman truly ride here, or is he only a story whispered in the dark? Over the course of your suspense-filled tour, you may discover whether you are seeking the legend – or being sought yourself!
