The Antigonight: Art After Dark Festival is a free, annual celebration of art and creativity, transforming the streets of Antigonish into an open-air gallery.

The festival brings together local and visiting artists to showcase installations, performances, and interactive exhibits, inviting the community and visitors to explore the vibrant and diverse art scene in a unique nighttime setting.

The theme in 2025 is Lore: The Stories we Share

Myths – Legends – Traditions – Beliefs – Superstitions – Wisdom – Collective knowledge – Folklore – Futurism

Storytelling is an age-old connector. The ways in which we construct our personal context is often through our shared stories, inherited and adopted, these narratives build bridges of understanding and rich interpersonal bonds. Nova Scotia and Antigonish / Nalikitquniejk; ‘The places where branches are torn off’ have a wealth of converging cultural folklore about belonging, connection, organizing and now more than ever sharing our narratives of relations, land and of the self is crucial.

Join us to explore and learn about our local stories during Antigonight: Art After Dark, September 19 & 20, 2025 in Antigonish.
