Our newly constructed, off-grid floating cottage sleeps 2-3 comfortably with a pull-out couch on the main floor and a queen size bed in the loft. The kitchen has an apartment-size fridge and a two burner cook top propane stove. All the desired amenities are included along with a separate bathroom with a hot water shower and flush toilet located on land by the wharf. This floating cabin is anchored approximately 150 metres from our private dock on a calm, ocean inlet where you can paddle to it from our wharf. Rentals and Guided Tours Rentals  We have three styles of sea kayaks available for rent: tandem sea kayak (two person) single sea kayak sit-on-top leisure kayak All kayak, canoe and stand-up paddleboard (SUP) rentals come with paddles, professional paddling PFD lifejackets, map of the area including must see landmarks, a 10 L dry bag with waterproof cellphone case, and a safety kit. Rentals are available for 2 hour, 4 hour, or for a full day (up to 8 hour) increments. Minimum two (2) people per rental booking required as we don’t allow individuals to go out alone for safety reasons unless they are properly qualified. Minimum age is 13 for single kayaks. Guided Kayak and Canoe Tours and Boat Tours Experience the white sand beaches of nearby Bachmans or Covey Island where you can go for a stroll and swim in the ocean water when you join us on a guided kayak or canoe tour or on a boat tour. Our fleet included top bran sea kayaks and canoes and our motorboat can accommodation 4-5 passengers. Guided tours provide customers with professional paddling PFD lifejackets, and a 10 L dry bag with waterproof cellphone case. Minimum two (2) people for guided tours; 15% discount for groups of four or more. Minimum age is 13 for single kayaks on rentals and guided seakayaking tours. If you are visiting us on a weekend, be sure to visit the onsite farm market, Sunnybrook Mill Market, for all your local meats, produce, preserves, giftware and more. Don’t miss saying hello to the resident goats and Norwegian horses! On the first Saturday in June, July, August and September, Saturdays by the Sea, an outdoor summer concert series, takes place on the property. • Description: Opened in the summer of 2023, the Halifax Common pool is located on the Halifax Mainland Common between Cogswell Street and Bell Road. Operating from June 15 – September 15, the pool offers a 25m five-lane pool, three climbing walls, beach entry with play features and large universal change rooms. The pool will offer a variety of activities such as lane swimming, swimming lessons and open swims. Access to lane swimming and open swims will be free of charge on a first come basis. Color bracelets will be handed out for each swim, bracelets for the different times can picked up, in July & August, starting at 10 a.m. Swimmers will be asked to leave the pool at the end of each swim to allow the next group to access the pool.
