Overview

The Woodlots at Croft Lake is a private, modern woodland retreat in Chester Basin on Nova Scotia’s South Shore. Designed for up to four guests, the cabin combines contemporary Scandinavian-inspired design with a peaceful natural setting overlooking the surrounding forest. Guests can relax in the large wood-fired/electric hot tub, gather around the outdoor fire pit, enjoy the indoor wood-burning fireplace, or simply unwind in the quiet of the property.

A private trail leads through the woods to Croft Lake, where guests can swim, paddle, kayak or canoe from the dock. Bicycles and snowshoes are also provided, and the property connects directly to the Rum Runners Trail for walking and cycling.

The Woodlots is well positioned for exploring the South Shore, with Chester, Oak Island, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg all within easy reach. Nearby experiences include coastal scenery, local restaurants and shops, hiking and cycling trails, boating and fishing, and SENSEA Nordic Spa. Whether visiting for a summer escape, fall colours, a cozy winter getaway or a quiet spring retreat, The Woodlots offers a private base for experiencing this part of Nova Scotia.
