Halifax Brewery Farmers‘ Market
Overview
Farmers, friends, and food; bringing the best of Nova Scotia together.
The Halifax Brewery Market is located in downtown Halifax’s historic Alexander Keith’s Brewery Square. Stroll though a 200-year-old historic building that was once the residence and original brewery of Alexander Keith, and get to know your local, small-scale farmers, artisans and crafters in a traditional market atmosphere.
At the market, you will find fresh, local vegetables year-round, along with herbs, flowers, free-range & cured meats, fresh fish, tofu, cheese, eggs, bread and baked goods, chocolate, coffee, and much, much more! Adorn yourself with locally-made jewellery, nourish your skin and hair with natural soap and body care products, or treat yourself to gorgeous hand-crafted gifts created by Nova Scotian artisans.
Sit indoors or in one of the courtyards and enjoy a tea, coffee or latte and to eat breakfast, brunch or lunch with us. Choose from our wide array of hot food vendors whose meals are made slowly, from scratch. If you’re in a hurry, grab something delicious prepared for take-home meals.
Our market is collectively-run, community-oriented, and family-friendly.
Please note: As of Spring 2026, street parking in downtown Halifax is no longer free between 8am and 6pm on Saturdays. Additional paid parking is available in the parking lot directly across Lower Water Street from the Alexander Keith’s Brewery Square.
