The beginning of the 3.5km Guysborough Waterfront Trail can be found at the end of Main Street in Guysborough town. The trail offers plenty of sightseeing and birdwatching opportunities as there are always gulls and cormorants to see during summer months along with black ducks, grebes, and buffleheads and more come autumn. Great blue herons are a regular sight here as well.
This shoreline trailway includes historic area information including Nicolas Deny’s fishery trading posts and the ramparts of a village fort.
Parking is permitted along the side of the road.
