Night Owl 5KM

Now in its 7th year, the Night Owl 5KM is a family-friendly running and walking event that kicks off the racing season each March with a truly unique nocturnal experience. Participants take to the trails of Halifax’s iconic Point Pleasant Park after dark, lighting up the night as they move through the park together.

Taking place on Saturday, March 20, 2027 at 7:30pm, this one-of-a-kind event invites participants of all ages and abilities to experience Point Pleasant Park like never before. Located at the southern tip of the Halifax peninsula, the historic 75-hectare wooded park offers beautiful, winding trails that come alive under the glow of headlamps and costumes.

The Night Owl 5KM is owned and operated by the Blue Nose Marathon, a registered non-profit organization based in Nova Scotia. Launched in 2021 in response to the challenges of the global pandemic, this 5K fun run event was created to keep the community active, connected, and moving.
