The Monkey’s Paw

Get ready for a fabulous fireside Experience.

The Monkey’s Paw is a new adaptation of the classic W.W. Jacobs short story for the By Fire stage at Ross Creek by Artistic Director Ken Schwartz.

A couple are granted three wishes as a result of acquiring a strange artifact- a mummified Monkey’s Paw- but they pay a terrible price for interfering with fate.

This fireside production will be directed by Ken Schwartz.

PLEASE CHECK IN AT THE BOX OFFICE when you arrive, then tour through our gardens and the gallery, get a snack or a glass of wine, and play bocce and croquet before the show. Please note, the show is a short walk away from the centre, so we advise coming early and wearing walking shoes.

What’s included
Seating

• Seating is general admission, on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating is on bleachers and we do have limited complimentary Special Seating for those with Mobility issues.
• You can also pre-book a stadium seat that provides you with extra back support – it is a little folding cushion that you can adjust and rental is only $3.
• Please let us know at the time of booking if you require wheelchair access or have special seating requirements.
• Layered clothing is advised, and comfy walking shoes.
• We can provide you with a blanket.
• You can pre-book a light lunch or full picnic after opening (must be ordered at least 24 hours in advance), and we will also have treats and drinks available for purchase on site when you arrive, at intermission, and between shows.
• We also have a fabulous small gift shop with t-shirts, pins, books by local authors and more.

What’s not included
If you would like to rent a Stadium Seat, you can do that when you book, or on site (subject to availability).

Our North Mountain Picnics must be ordered at least 24 hours in advance.

Ross Creek salad with Tangled Garden Vinaigrette,
Homemade Brownie OR OTHER Daily Dessert
A glass of Benjamin Bridge Wine, Propeller Beer, Maritime Express Cider, or non Alcoholic drinks.

Light Lunch ($15+HST)
If you don’t need a full meal, you can preorder special Snack Plates or take a chance when you get here. These are delightful little cheese trays with Annapolis Cheese, fresh bread or GF crackers, Tangled Garden Jellies and a fresh local apple.

What to bring
Please ensure you wear layers. It can get chilly at night. We have some small blankets, but you are welcome to bring your own!

We advise wearing comfortable walking shoes.
