Nestled within the historic Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, Citadel Coffee Bae is a seasonal café that welcomes visitors seasonally, from April to October. Inspired by the “coffee bars” introduced to British soldiers in the mid-1800s, this space continues the tradition of pairing good food, warm drinks and a place to gather.

The Citadel Coffee Bar offers a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches along with popular local items including lobster rolls and fish & chips. Lighter fare including freshly baked pastries and muffins, along with classic hot and cold café drinks and a selection of grab-n-go options for sandwiches & wraps, juices, and other beverages are also available. Dine inside or pop out to dine in Parade Square Patio, our onsite beer garden.
