Overview

Explore the Lunenburg coast by Zodiac with a lobster fisher guide to hear local stories and discover what it takes to make a living from the sea.

Step into the world of a local lobster fisher and learn firsthand how lobster gear works, how to measure and identify legal-sized lobsters, and why egg-bearing females and undersized lobsters are carefully released. Listen to stories from generations of fishing families, see how tides and seasons shape life on the water, and contribute to citizen science by helping collect and record data. Along the way, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the skills, local knowledge, and stewardship that sustains this important fishery.
