Island Paddle and Coastal Hike

Explore the granite coastline, islands, and trails of Lower Prospect, near Peggy’s Cove, on this full-day kayaking and hiking tour.

Departing by kayak from East Coast Outfitters’ sheltered cove, you’ll explore incredible bays, hidden inlets, and granite islands. Returning to East Coast Outfitters’, enjoy a delicious lunch and relax on the wharf, before walking to nearby Terence Bay. Hike the windswept Shipley’s Head, visit Terence Bay Lighthouse, and stroll the SS Atlantic Heritage Park Trail. The trail and small onsite interpretive center share the story of the biggest shipwreck in Nova Scotia’s history, which happened just off the coast.
