Fundy Trails & Nova Scotia Flavours includes:
- A guided hike or snowshoe through diverse landscapes within the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark. Choose from three unique locations:
- Soley Cove: Available year-round, the beautiful red sand beach, towering sandstone cliffs, sea caves, and flowerpot rock formations give an up-close look at the Bay of Fundy landscape.
- Thomas’ Cove, Economy Loop Trail: Available October 15 – March 31, you’ll explore moss-covered woods, diverse forest paths, and breathtaking Bay of Fundy views from above the sandstone cliffs, overlooking the Minas Basin.
- Cobequid Highlands: Available October 15 – March 31, you’ll traverse wooded trails and hilly terrain to discover this unique inland trail and sweeping Bay of Fundy views along the way.
- Snowshoe rentals when winter conditions allow, plus a 20-minute confidence-building session to ensure entry-level snowshoe enthusiasts are comfortable with the technique and equipment. Hiking poles are also available.
- Local insights about the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark as your guide shares stories and facts about the geo-heritage and significance of your tour location and the greater Geopark area.
- A delicious picnic style lunch at That Dutchman’s Cheese Farm, including a taste of their award-winning cheeses.
Package Availability: Year-round, daily. Subject to availability. Please note, Thomas‘ Cove Economy Loop Trail and Cobequid Highlands locations are only offered from October 15 through March 31.
Package Cost: $249 + tax per person. This tour requires a minimum of two adults per booking and is available for up to six participants.

Good to Know:
- Hike/snowshoe duration & distance: approximately 3 hours, 3 km (including return).
- Meeting point: Cliffs of Fundy Welcome Centre parking lot (3246 Highway 2 Economy). Please meet fifteen (15) minutes prior to the tour start time.
- Be sure to plan your visit. The nearest public washrooms, open throughout the fall and winter season, are located at Masstown Market (10622, NS-2, Debert, NS B0M 1G0) or Parrsboro Tim Hortons (4019 Eastern Ave, Parrsboro, NS B0M 1T0). A washroom is available at That Dutchman Cheese Farm during the picnic lunch.
- What to wear and bring: Please carry water (one litre per person), a small snack and sunscreen in your daypack. Wearing a hat is recommended. Ensure your footwear is suitable for navigating woodland trails. Closed-toe and lace-up shoes are a must. You will cover a variety of terrain ranging from fist-sized rocks, pebbles and sand with potentially muddy sections. Your guide will have trekking poles available if you choose to use them for added balance and easier navigation of the varied terrain.
- Fall / Winter: Warm fall or winter outdoor clothing and footwear including hiking or winter boots. Dress in layers to keep the wind/sun out. The weather can be unpredictable.
