An eclectic experience for art and garden lovers. Sublimely beautiful, centuries old farm with an awesome circa 1845 Maritime barn, the Old Barn Gallery & Decor is located in Pomquet, near the town of Antigonish, contains the works of two local artists on display in a repurposed horse stable.

Carol Naveta Rivoire, owner of the farm, does intuitive abstracts paintings and impressionistic paintings of the fabulous gardens that surround the property.

Rodney Tate is a highly acclaimed wildlife photographer specializing in Nova Scotia birds and animals. He’s Nova Scotia born and bred, and before taking up photography he hunted and fished all his life. And that’s why his wildlife photography is so incredibly good – he knows the birds and animals and he knows their habits and habitats.

Together, Naveta and Rodney’s work is charmingly displayed in the various farm buildings once occupied (not long ago) by Carol Naveta’s Norwegian Fjord Horses which she bred for more than 30 years.

Also, offered for sale – one of the largest collections of paintings by the famous Cape Breton artist, Charles Dawe (1923-2012).
