International Geodiversity Day 2025 in the Cliffs of Fundy Geopark

Following Ancient Footprints and the World’s Highest Tide from Sunrise to Moonrise
Join Dr. Tim Fedak (Drawing in Geoparks) and Anna Hergert (Tide Rollers and Mudlarkers) in the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark, on October 6, for a fun-filled day of adventure and exploration along the Bay of Fundy’s coastline. Take part in a series of events from Spencer’s Island to Truro in celebration of International Geodiversity Day 2025.
Proclaimed by UNESCO in 2021, the theme for International Geodiversity Day 2025 is ‘One Earth, Many Stories.’
Event Highlights:
- See the sunrise over Cape Split Provincial Park from across the iconic Bay of Fundy.
- Hear about the rich geological history of the Geopark from Dr. Tim Fedak, Curator of Geology from the Nova Scotia Museum.
- Explore the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global with unique events at three Geopark geosites.
- Learn about Bay of Fundy flora and fauna, tides, and more from local guide, Anna, of Tide Rollers & Mudlarkers.
