Fisherman’s Cove Pirate Days

Ahoy, mateys! Pirate Days is back at Fisherman’s Cove for another unforgettable weekend of family fun along the beautiful waterfront boardwalk in Eastern Passage!

Proudly presented each year by the Fisherman’s Cove Development Association (FCDA), this annual tradition brings the Fisherman’s Cove popular boardwalk to life with pirates, mermaids, live music, artisan vendors, local food, family activities, during three days of community celebration. Wander the colourful boardwalk, meet the Crimson Knot Pirates, snap photos with live mermaids, enjoy performances throughout the weekend, browse local shops and makers, and discover why Fisherman’s Cove is one of Nova Scotia’s favourite coastal destinations.

Friday, August 21
Thieves Night Market: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Kick off Pirate Days with an evening market featuring artisan vendors, live music by Louise Brooking, a Pirate Hippies book reading with Lana Shupe, mermaids at Shore Things, henna by Afronza, a bouncy castle, and shopping along the boardwalk until 8 PM.

Saturday, August 22
11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Meet the Crimson Knot Pirates, enjoy live music by Louisa & Jeff, visit live mermaids, visit the Dartmouth Public Library pop up, enjoy face painting, balloon animals, a bouncy castle, delicious food vendors, and a community BBQ while shopping Fisherman’s Cove’s unique local businesses.

Sunday, August 23
12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Close out Pirate Days with another afternoon of pirate adventures featuring the Crimson Knot Pirates, live music by The Last Resorts, live mermaids, face painting, balloon animals, family activities, and explore the shops.

Admission is free! Some activities, vendors, and food are available for purchase.
