Nova Scotia Gem and Mineral Show

Since 1966, the annual Nova Scotia Gen and Mineral Show has been welcoming everyone to visit the town of Parrsboro to take part in a weekend of workshops, geological events and demonstrations that will give you a glimpse into the world of working with gems and minerals.

Held at the Lions Recreation Center (210 King Street in Parrsboro), the show is a popular family event that showcases geological treasures from over 30 high quality exhibitors of spectacular gems, minerals, jewelry and metalwork. Attendees can explore some of the finest gem and mineral displays in the Maritimes as well as view specimens that are available for sale. You can even pan for gold at the show!
