The Cliffs of Fundy Geopark Welcome Centre provides pictures, films and interpretive panels to explain the geology, history and culture of the area from Lower Truro to Apple River, which encompasses a great variety of sights and experiences including:
  • the highest tides in the world,
  • the oldest dinosaur fossils in Canada,
  • waterfalls, caves, coves, vast sandflats,
  • trail hikes and rides,
  • kayaking, fishing and sightseeing expeditions,
  • museums and interpretive centres,
  • fascinating Mi'kmaq legends,
  • food from the bay, fruits and berries in season
The Centre can also provide hiking trail information in Colchester County, highlighting the river, gorges, and waterfalls in the Economy River Wilderness Area, as well as Thomas’ Cove Coastal Reserve trails.

The only original World War II Observation Tower in the Maritimes offers a spectacular view of the tides and countryside. There is a large picnic and recreation area on site. Bus tours are welcome.
