Camping in National Parks

Nova Scotia is home to two national parks that offer up camping adventures for all levels of comfort. From backcountry wilderness camping to a cozy oTENTik stay, spend your night under the stars and your day exploring trails, beaches, and cultural and recreational experiences all offered by the parks.

Fire Restrictions in Nova Scotia

Burning restrictions are in place in Nova Scotia from March 15 to October 15. There is no open fire burning permitted from 8 am until 2pm. Restrictions are updated at 2pm daily on the BurnSafe map. All provincial, municipal, and private campgrounds must follow the burning restrictions. National park campgrounds burning restrictions are under the jurisdiction of Parks Canada. The fine for violating burning restrictions is $25,000.
