Overview
Experience the spectacular scenery of the Wild Islands of the Eastern Shore and the Cabot Trail of Cape Breton Island. We visit beaches, lighthouses, and coastal headlands; take a boat tour of the Sugar Islands with its’ eagles, seabirds, and seals; encounter the wonders of coastal ecology; and explore the night sky by telescope. We also listen to community storytellers, savour local culinary delights, and stay at charming accommodations by the sea.

Package Includes
Beginning from and returning to downtown Halifax, on this five-day van tour (up to five participants) we discover the wild nature and diverse cultures of Nova Scotia. All travel, food, accommodations, and an experienced guide are included in the package. Specifically,
- We explore the Wild Islands of the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, taking the time to beachcomb, explore coastal forests, and travel among the islands on a traditional Cape Island Lobster Boat. There will be many encounters with wildlife, and we will also explore the local culture and culinary delights of the shore.
- We travel to the world-renowned Cape Breton Island, where we will see the beauty of the Bras d’Or Lakes with its many Bald Eagles and Mi’kmaw and Celtic cultures, followed by a trip around the Cabot Trail, with scenery that is truly breath-taking.
- We take the long way back to Halifax, exploring picturesque coastlines and the spectacle of the world’s highest tides on the Bay of Fundy.

Good to Know: Pick-up and return are from downtown Halifax hotels. Bring good footwear (sneakers are fine), layers of clothing, raincoat, rubber boots (if you have them), and an inquisitive mind.
Cancellation Policy: Full refund if you cancel at least five days (120 hours) before tour start time. Non-refundable after that deadline. If NovaNature is forced to cancel due to extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified as early as possible, and fully refunded.
