Description: This is a small group tour, designed to cater to your interests. Your guide, Dr. Stephen Flemming is an award-winning naturalist, research biologist, and retired National Park Superintendent. He will meet you with a comfortable van at your downtown Halifax hotel and return you there four days later. But in those four days he will see to it that you encounter extraordinary scenery, see well over 100 species of birds, mammals, plants, and sea creatures; enjoy great times on a lobster boat; view the night sky with telescopes and learn about astronomy and nocturnal life; and learn first-hand about the extraordinary natural history of coastal ecosystems. Prepare to get your hands dirty and document wildlife data as a citizen scientist. Tune up that voice. Experience local culture, traditions, and wonderful cuisine. Paint, draw, journal. Relax at Seaside Landing County Inn with a stunning view-scape. Let your inner naturalist emerge!

Dates: Tuesday-Friday beginning on the 5th, 12th, and 19th of July; 9th, 23rd, and 30th of August; and the 20th and 27th of September.

Cancellation Policy: Deposits are refundable with cancellation up to two weeks prior to the tour. Participants will be notified two weeks in advance if a tour must be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Good to Know: Bring your camera, comfortable shoes, and a sweater and jacket. A pair of boots would be an added benefit. Space is limited to six participants in the van, but we will go with two or more.
