Explore the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark on this action packed 4 day/ 3 night adventure package. Sea kayak along the coastal cliffs of Cape Chignecto seeing Three Sisters rock formation, sea caves and soaring eagles; go on a guided gem and mineral tour and learn the unique geological history of the area; hike to George Fraser slot canyon and waterfalls in the Cobequid hills.
Package Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Parrsboro and check in at Gillespie House Inn for orientation, visit Ottawa House Historical Museum and take a beach walk with short hike to lookout tower at Partridge Island. Visit Two Islands Brewing to sample local craft beer
with complimentary tasting flight.
Day 2: Experience world’s highest tides and cliffs on a full day Three Sisters sea kayak tour with NovaShores Adventures with lunch on the beach, visit Cape D’Or Lighthouse and Age of Sail Museum; overnight at Gillespie House Inn.
Day 3: Full day Gem and Mineral Tour with Brian Hebert, the experienced naturalist owner of Fundy Treasures and Tours. The tour will include a guided visit to Fundy Geological Museum where you will learn more about the geological and fossil history of the Parrsboro Shore – lunch included, overnight at Gillespie House Inn.
Day 4: Morning hike on a backcountry trail to a remote slot canyon and waterfall with Local Guy Adventures. Your guide grew up in this areas and has spent many years exploring the back country. After the hike enjoy a picnic lunch; depart Parrsboro.

Three Sisters Day Tour: Experience the amazing tides and spectacular cliffs of stunning Cape Chignecto Provincial Park at the Three Sisters. This coastline is incredibly scenic and wild, dotted with secluded coves, archways, and rock spires. You see evidence of earth’s history, old lava flows embedded in the ancient rock. Highlights of your tour include the famous Three Sisters sea stacks, a group of rock spires rising out of the ocean steeped in native legend. Owl Rock, Elephant Rock and the pristine tidal river mouth at the former shipbuilding site Eatonville Harbour. We stop for a home-made, vegetarian picnic. On the return paddle, you will be amazed at how quickly the water level has been changing on the highest tides in the world.
Gem and Mineral Tour: Join us on a 4 hour gem and mineral tour within the Cliffs of Fundy Geopark to discover geological treasures! We will learn how to identify different crystals, minerals, agates and jaspers and how these different minerals and gems were formed over 200 million years ago as we explore different geological formations along the Parrsboro shore. Highlights of your tour will include a guided tour of the Fundy Geological Museum, and 3 hour guided gem and mineral tour of the Parrsboro shore with a visit to Nova Scotia’s own “Jurassic beach”, the site of Canada’s oldest dinosaurs and a delicious lunch at the beach.
Slot Canyon and Waterfall Trek: Step back-in-time on this guided hiking tour within the Cliffs of Fundy Geopark. Feel like you’re in Jurassic world as you make your way past beautiful spectacular waterfalls, old-growth forest, and trek through one of the only three slot canyons in Nova Scotia. Be wowed as the nearly 200-ft canyon walls make way for lush, mossy forest.
