Tidal Floor & Clarke Head Horseback Tour

Enjoy stunning coastal scenery, from horseback, on a guided tour along the magnificent Bay of Fundy within the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark.

Gather at Spirit Reins Ranch for their most popular tour for experienced riders. Get to know your guides and the horses before loading up and shuttling to the trailhead. Ride by horseback along the ocean floor of the Minas Basin, observing a variety of tidal creatures such as clams, crabs, shorebirds, and more! Take in views of Two Islands, Five Islands Provincial Park, the cliffs at Clarke Head, and see Cape Split across the Bay of Fundy.

Ride duration: Approximately 3 – 3.5 hours

Price: $185 per person + HST

Dates: Offered April 1 through December 1, as long as the weather and trail conditions are clear. Tour start times rely on tide conditions and tours take place at low tide.

Good to know:

• Please bring preferred snacks and water to enjoy while the horses take a rest break mid-tour.
• All guests will be given an introductory orientation to safe horse care and handling before every trail ride to equip them with the necessary tools and safety measures in handling a horse safely and humanely.
• This tour is recommended for intermediate to experienced riders. Tours are tailored to the guest’s riding level and ability. Not suitable for children under 10. Riders under the age of 18 are required to wear a helmet (provided).
• Maximum number of guests per tour is up to 7 (depending on the tour and the group’s skill level). For less experienced or beginner riders we can take up to 5 guests.
• Please dress appropriately for the climate. Riding boots, hiking boots or rubber boots are all acceptable footwear; a heel and non-slip material is ideal. Please wear long pants, preferably jeans or non-slip materials. Improper riding attire: sandals, flip flops, bathing suits, shorts, sweatpants or dresses/skirts.
• Feel free to bring a camera and take photos to your heart’s delight!

Conditions & Cancellations: Tours are weather dependent, if you tour is cancelled due to weather you will receive a full refund and we can re-schedule your tour. 48 hours notice is required for guest cancellation. Less than 48 hours notice for a cancellation will result in 50% of tour charged.
