Overview
Step back-in-time to a world of ancient mounted warriors and learn the basics of shooting the traditional horsebow with expert guides, Lance Bishop and Sarah Clarke. Discover the speed and precision of the horsebow on solid ground and enjoy a local lunch overlooking the beautiful Bay of Fundy coastline.
Choose to test your skills with an optional “horseback” add on!
Experience Highlights:
- Hear historic insights and the basic use of a traditional horsebow from your guides
- Learn to shoot a traditional horsebow just as warriors and nomads once did, beginning on solid ground with expert guidance.
- Sharpen your skills with practice and guidance focused on speed, accuracy, rhythm, and timing.
- Enjoy a delicious local lunch while connecting with fellow archers, sharing experiences and discussing techniques in a welcoming atmosphere.
- Choose to add on Horsebow on Horseback: expand your experience with a demonstration of modern horseback archery. Then, mount a trained archery horse to experience the thrill of shooting your arrows from the saddle (at a walking pace).
Availability: Offered May through October, 2025 from 10 am – 1 pm.
Price: $80 + HST per person. Add +$50 per person for the Horsebow on Horseback option.

Good to Know:
- This experience is approximately 3-hours in length.
- Arrive through the big gate where you will see a “Park Here” sign on the right side of the driveway before the hill.
- Dress in layers as coastal temperatures can be cooler than in-land. Wear outdoor footwear suitable for rough terrain as you will be on uneven ground with hills, sticks, and stones. A thick-sleeved sweater is recommended to avoid the possibility of the bow string hitting your inner forearm. Arm guards are available if needed. Bring a water bottle and consider wearing sunscreen and sun protection.
- Please advise of any dietary restrictions or allergies at time of booking.
- The minimum age for this experience is 13.
- If you have your own equipment, please feel free to bring and use this. Otherwise, all required equipment will be provided.
- There will be an opportunity to purchase your own equipment if you wish.
- Spaces are limited to 18 archery participants and 9 available spots for riders in the optional Horsebow on Horseback add-on.
Conditions & Cancellations: Please give 48 hours notice for cancellations. If weather leads to a cancellation on our part, your experience will be reimbursed. Charges may be applied for guests who do not adhere to the cancellation policy (50%) *All prices are subject to 15% HST provincial sales tax. All visitors must sign a waiver. Waivers are provided upon arrival, or you can review, print, and sign prior to arrival: Adult waiver | Under 18 waiver.
