Discover the night sky like never before with a two-night stay in our Sky Bubble Dome and a guided Nocturnal Sky Theatre experience, in North America’s first certified Starlight Tourist Destination. Hear stargazing tips, learn to navigate the night sky, see live views from our Observatory’s telescope projections, and fall asleep under the stars with stellar views through the clear roof of your Sky Bubble! 

Experience Includes:

• Two-night stay in a Sky Bubble: Our heated, inflated domes have a cozy bed (available with one-queen or two-doubles), table and chairs, and an 11-foot clear come ceiling—perfect for taking in the incredible views of the night sky while being protected from the elements! Shared washroom and shower facilities are also located on the property.
• Explore Deep Sky Eye Observatory’s five-acre property: barbeque in the common area, enjoy a nightly campfire, kayak on the river,  or relax on your Sky Bubble deck. 
• Discover the night sky on a guided Nocturnal Sky Theatre Experience: Hear astronomy insights and the night’s celestial wonders from astronomy expert, Tim Doucette!

• Learn to navigate the night sky using points of reference such as Polaris (the North Star) and various constellations.
• Watch the live view of what the telescope sees, projected on an outdoor screen.
• Explore the night sky using a number of telescopes including our 16” dobsonian telescope set up on the observing platform.

Good to Know:

• Check-in anytime after 5:30 pm and check-out anytime before 10:00 am
• A shared washroom and shower are located on-site and available between June 1 and September 15.
• We offer complimentary parking and wireless internet/wifi.
• This experience is suitable for children of all ages but is not suitable for pets.
• You may wish to pack bug spray, sunscreen, comfortable footwear, and dress in layers as even summer nights can be chilly when the skies are clear.

Conditions: Advance booking required. Once payment is complete you will receive a confirmation email. You may cancel or reschedule your reservation up to two (2) days prior to your scheduled arrival time for a refund of the purchase price minus a $25+tax administrative fee. Due to Covid-19 restrictions imposed by the province of Nova Scotia, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your booking on short notice.
