Seashores and Sandcastles

Experience shorelines, tidal pools, and nature’s seashore art. Beachcomb at Tor Bay Provincial Park, observing coastal birds, exploring tidal pools, and discovering the great diversity of wild things. Then, we build sandcastles, combining art and nature with learning fun for all ages.

Experience Includes

• Seashores and Sandcastles is an experience for the inquisitive and for those seeking seashore fun. We explore tidal pools, beachcomb, bird watch, and discover really cool coastal ecology using instruments, nets, and hand lenses. 
• Be prepared to do some exploring, take measurements of tidal pool conditions, identify sandy and saltwater critters, and apply your naturalist thinking to discover fascinating natural principles. 
• Then, we have sandcastles to build, where art and nature are part of the experience! Seashores and Sandcastles is great fun for all ages and makes for a memorable learning adventure. Get sandy and let your inner naturalist and artist emerge!

Length: Three hours.

Price: Adult: $75, Children Under 16: $50 (15% discount – booking for two or more)

Good to Know: Bring good footwear (sneakers are fine), layers of clothing, rubber boots (if you have them), and an inquisitive mind. 

Cancellation Policy: Full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before the experience start time. Non-refundable after that deadline. If NovaNature is forced to cancel due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified as early as possible, and fully refunded.
