Overview

 Fans of the Curse Of Oak Island will not want to miss out on taking this tour! The Oak Island Fan Experience takes you to places of interest and locations featured on the popular History Channel television series.

Itinerary:

*All times approximate. Exact schedule is dependent on actual time of departure. For group tours, we can customize the itinerary to meet your requirements. We want you to have an amazing Nova Scotia experience and we are here to help you! Please feel free to contact us with your needs. 

  • 8:15 AM – 8:45 AM: Tour pick up time.
  • 8:45 AM – 9:45 AM: Halifax to Mahone Bay.
  • 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Salty Dog Sea Tours boat tour of Oak Island.
  • 11:45 AM – 1:00 PM:  Lunch at the Mug & Anchor Pub.
  • 1:15 PM – 2:30 PM: Oak Island Interpretive Centre. ***PENDING OPENING FOR 2022***
  • 2:45 PM – 3:45 PM: Mahone Bay to Halifax.

 

Upon pick up, you will leave Halifax and be then taken to Mahone Bay and the Oak Island Resort Marina. There, you will meet up with Tony Sampson, cast member of the Curse of Oak Island and proprietor of Salty Dog Sea Tours.

Tony will guide you on a scenic boat tour around Oak Island, giving you an insider’s view of the treasure hunting activities taking place there. Tony will share with you some absolutely fascinating stories regarding his career as a professional diver and his treasure hunting experience.

Tony will take you close enough to Oak Island’s shoreline where you will see some of the work currently done on the island. Keep on the lookout for people you may recognize. If the show is being filmed that day, there’s a chance you’ll spot some of the cast or crew while you are there.

Salty Dog Sea Tours is the next thing to being on Oak Island!

 

After the boat tour, you can then enjoy a delicious lunch at the Mug & Anchor Pub. The pub is often frequented by the Curse of Oak Island’s cast and crew and quite popular with Curse of Oak Island enthusiasts.

Enjoy some local craft beer and Maritime hospitality, while savoring some of Nova Scotia’s finest seafood!

(Note: meals & refreshments are not included in the tour price)

 

​Following the boat tour, you’ll be taken to Oak Island to visit the Oak Island Interpretive Centre, where you’ll learn about the island’s history and see displays and artifacts housed there. You’ll spend an hour here, viewing the artifacts and displays, interpretative panels, and the monument dedicated to the treasure hunters of Oak Island’s fascinating past.

Make sure to pick up a few souvenirs at the Interpretive Centre’s gift shop to have something to remember your visit.

***PENDING OPENING FOR 2022*** If Oak Island remains closed for the 2022 season, we will get as close to the island as we can for some photographs and then visit other locations that will be of interest to Curse of Oak Island fans. 

 

​After your visit to Oak Island and Mahone Bay, you will return to Halifax for the conclusion of the tour.
