Mi’kmaq Tides Adventure highlights:

  • Enjoy an epic 2.5-hour tidal bore rafting adventure on the Bay of Fundy’s Shubenacadie River. Learn about Mi’kmaw history and culture, watch for eagles, and feel the rush of the worlds highest tides.
  • Feast on jakej (lobster) caught by Sipekne’katik fishers, accompanied by maple salmon, wild rice, mixed veggies, and a blueberry vanilla cake. A Mi’kmaw knowledge holder will share a teaching on treaty rights and the fishery in Mi’kma’ki during supper.
  • Gather around the fire for snacks, stories and legends from a Mi’kmaw knowledge holder, following the tradition of oral teachings that the Mi’kmaw have used since time immemorial.
