Escape to the enchanting world of Shangri-La Cottages for a two-night coastal winter retreat that seamlessly combines the breathtaking beauty of Burntcoat Head and the culinary expertise of Chef Domenic Padula from Food Fantastique & Dining on the Ocean Floor.

During the winter months, the Bay of Fundy transforms into a breathtaking sight with icy cliffs, dancing ice flows, and an otherworldly ambiance. Guests get to experience it all from their cottage, while soaking in their private hot tub, and when exploring the grounds. This exclusive package is available only during the winter months and promises an unforgettable experience that will leave you with cherished memories.

Package includes: 

• Two-night stay with a private hot tub for two guests: Guests will have the opportunity to stay in a cozy luxury cottage, nestled amidst the picturesque surroundings of the Bay of Fundy, and overlooking the highest tides in the world. During your stay, immerse yourself in the beauty of a glistening Nova Scotian winter landscape. Please note, this package is only offered in High Tide (Cottage #1), Low Tide (Cottage #2), & Lighthouse Keeper (Cottage #3).
   
• One three-course private dining experience for two: Your private chef for the evening, Chef Domenic, renowned for his expertise in crafting exceptional dishes with locally sourced ingredients will create a delectable gourmet dinner inspired by Nova Scotia’s culinary traditions. Prepare for a dining experience that transcends the ordinary and transports you to a world of culinary bliss. As the sun sets over the Bay of Fundy, you’ll be seated in a specially arranged setting within your luxury cottage. Each course is thoughtfully paired with wine tastings from Avondale Sky Winery, a regional gem that complements the flavours of the region. 

Good to know: Upon booking, pick between three different options for dinner: meat, seafood, or vegan. At the time of booking, please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies.

• Friday, January 5th, 2024 – Sunday, January 7th, 2024
• ​Friday, January 12th, 2024 – Sunday, January 14th, 2024
• Friday, February 2nd, 2024 – Sunday, February 4th, 2024
• Friday, February 16th, 2024 – Sunday, February 18th, 2024

Price: 

• Starting at $800.00 + 15% NS HST for two guests for two nights in our one-bedroom cottage. 
• $840.00 + 15% NS HST for two guests for two nights in our two-bedroom cottages.
• Want to add additional friends or family to this experience? $150.00 + 15% NS HST per person. Maximum 4 guests in High Tide (Cottage #1). Maximum of 4 guests in Low Tide (Cottage #2). Maximum of 6 guests in Lighthouse Keeper (Cottage #3). 

How to book: 

1. Visiting the booking page: enter in the date of one of the weekends above. Select the cottage you would like to book, enter the number of guests/pets, and click “Continue”. 

2. Fill out your contact information: Fill out your contact information, read and agree to our Policies, and click “Continue”. Please let us know at the time of booking by making a note in the “Notes” section regarding any dietary restrictions or allergies.

3. Pay deposit: On the last page, you will need to pay a 25% deposit to guarantee your reservation. Once payment is received, you will receive a confirmation email.

Check-in and check-out details: Check-in is between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm; if you require a late check-in, you must notify us in writing at the time of booking. Check-out is at 11:00 am. 

Cancellation Policy:

• Guests must give 15 days notice of any change or cancellation before the check-in date by emailing Reservations@Shangri-LaCottages.com. We will refund the initial 25% deposit to the payment source used to guarantee the reservation minus a $50.00 administration fee.

• If you cancel or change your reservation less than 15 days before the check-in date, the payment source used to guarantee the reservation will be charged for the remainder of the balance owed in the original reservation.

• If you must cancel or change your reservation for any reason outside of our control (including but not limited to illness, injury, emergencies, travel restrictions, travel advisories, inclement weather, transportation cancellations, transportation delays, etc.), our Cancellation Policy still applies.
