Fossil Family Fun at Five Islands is the ultimate family adventure for those interested in science and exploring the outdoors! On this experience, your personal guides will bring the vibrant sandstone cliffs alive and introduce you to fossils, rocks, minerals, and bustling tidepools.

Experience Highlights: 

• Adventure through time to an era when the Bay of Fundy region was full of sand dunes and dinosaurs roamed the Earth.
• Become paleontologists for the day using tools of the trade. Get your hands dirty creating your own unique fossil cast and prospect for fossils alongside expert paleontologists. Youth will receive a Fundy Geological Museum lab coat to take home!
• Explore the ocean floor and learn the pre-historic secrets of the towering cliffs including exploration of “Old Wife” – one of the best exposures of the outpouring of lava during the breakup the supercontinent of Pangea 200 million years ago.
• Enjoy local sourced light refreshments served on the ocean floor!

• Tours are approximately 3-hours in length.
• Tour start times are dependent on Bay of Fundy tide times.
• Terrain: This experience involves a hike on moderate to challenging surfaces and is recommended for youth ages 7 and up.
