Good to Know:

  • Your guide, Anna, is accredited in Sylvotherapy and well-versed in the Bay of Fundy tides and unique features of the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark. Exact tour start times will be confirmed once your tour is booked, as it is based on daily fluctuating tide times. Please arrive at the meeting location at least 15 minutes prior to tour start time.
  • Forest Bathing, also known as Sylvotherapy, pioneered in the 1980s in Japan and is gaining in popularity in North America. It has countless benefits and just one guided session can provided long-lasting benefits to the person(s) engaging in the practice!
  • Location information & meeting point: This guided tour and forest bathing session is available at three locations in the Geopark: McAlese Brook Falls (Hidden Falls), Thomas Cove Coastal Reserve Trail, and at Five Islands Provincial Park. Some locations may not be suitable during various times of the year (e.g. after heavy weather events). Your guide will set a meeting point and tour start time with you at time of booking.
  • What to wear and bring: Hat, hiking boots or, at a minimum, runners with sturdy tread are a must. Dress in layers to keep the wind/sun out. The weather can be unpredictable. Bring a backpack with drinking water and your preferred snacks. If you would like to take pictures, bring your camera with fully charged battery.

Conditions & Cancellations: Advance booking is required; tour times depend on the tides and are different every day. All tours require a minimum of 1 person, max 6. Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance of scheduled tours. If your tour is cancelled due to poor conditions, there will be no charge and we will try to rebook your tour.
